Teachers
Deni-lyn Lane, our head teacher and school director, teaches the Half-day session. Deni-lyn began her education as a Kindergartner at London Grove with Teacher Ruth Fales. Upon graduating from the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from Washington College and a Master of Elementary Education from Wilmington College. Deni-lyn has taught Kindergarten and First Grade in the Unionville-Chadds Ford School District for many years.
As an alumni of the London Grove, Deni-lyn is able to appreciate the philosophy and mission of the Kindergarten. Her classroom is a community of caring, respect, and individual appreciation. Deni-lyn is excited to be a part of the school where her “love of learning” truly began. She lives with her husband and two children in the Unionville area.
Kate Perkins is our Full-day class teacher. Kate earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Lock Haven University and a Master of Education Degree with a concentration in Reading Specialty from St. Joseph’s University. Kate has spent many years as a Kindergarten Teacher and Reading Extension Teacher. Her love of nature, the outdoors, and reading are apparent in Kate’s classroom. Kate’s students enjoy singing, moving, and actively participating in all areas of learning. Kate lives with her husband, son, and many animals in the West Chester area.
